WhatsApp rent reminders: templates + automation that works

The right reminder at the right time collects rent without a single awkward call. Use this cadence and these templates — then automate them.

The cadence: T-3, T-0, T+2

  1. 3 days before due date: friendly heads-up with amount and QR.
  2. Due date: itemised breakdown (rent + electricity + any dues) with the payment QR.
  3. 2 days after: polite late notice stating the auto-applied late fee and updated total.

Templates (English)

  • T-3: "Hi Rahul! Your June rent of ₹12,500 for Room B-204 is due on the 5th. Pay anytime with your QR: [link]. — Sunrise PG"
  • T-0: "Hi Rahul, today’s the due date 🙂 June total: ₹14,350 (rent ₹12,500 + electricity ₹1,850). Scan your QR: [link]."
  • T+2: "Hi Rahul, June rent is pending. A late fee of ₹500 has been added as per the agreement; updated total ₹14,850. QR: [link]. Reply here if something’s wrong."

Templates (Hindi)

QR: [link]"

Automating it

Manual reminders fail on consistency — the whole point is that they go out every time. A PMS sends the cadence automatically with each tenant’s live ledger amount and personal QR, and logs delivery so "I never got it" ends.
